So, I got back from vacation today, and had a meeting with the system admin that was covering for me. They only had one problem. A new software package they installed needed to have incoming connections allowed on the firewall. The systems guy couldn't figure it out so he just put in an allow any any to fix it.
It's been running this way for a week.
